Medical Radio Network   ( Proposal )

             

Medical radio network of BHN Association is a system to connect  by radio urban major hospitals with clinics and health posts located at remote rural areas where no communication facilities like telephone and internet are available. By this network health authorities of local governments may collect medical information such as statistics on infectious diseases and number of patients according to diseases from remote rural medical institutions. The health authorities of local government will repot thus collected medical data to the health authorities of the central government via internet and/or by fax. Doctors and/or nurses at rural clinics/health posts can also consult  specialist doctors at urban major hospitals by this radio network about diagnoses of their patients. 

BHN Association has so far implemented the Medical Radio Communication System in Laos and Kandahar, Afghanistan. The system has been heplpfull to improve the quality of medical service in marginal areas and saved many lives. The construction of the second stage of the Medical Radio Communication Network system in Afgahnistan has just started off in Mazarisharif State.
