BHN Association (BHN), being fully aware of the importance of Personal Information obtained in the course of its activities, will comply with the applicable laws and regulations including “Act on the Protection of Personal Information,” and will take utmost care in handling such Personal Information and the protection thereof, in compliance with the following Privacy Policy.

Personal Information (Definition)

The term “Personal Information” refers to pieces of information such as name, e-mail address, mailing address and phone number which singly or in combination enables identification of a specific individual.

Purposes of Use of Personal Information

BHN will use Personal Information for the following purposes;

1．Issuing and mailing of invoice and receipt of membership dues.

2．Issuing and mailing of solicitation letters for donation, letters of acknowledgment and letters of appreciation.

3．Mailing of materials and reports on the decisions and activities of BHN.

4．Mailing of invitation letters to events and projects sponsored or co-sponsored by BHN.

5．For other purposes such as contacting individuals, deemed necessary by BHN.

Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties

BHN will not sell, distribute or disclose Personal Information to third parties unless BHN has a prior permission from the party concerned or is formally requested by legal authorities in writing.

In case that an individual requests disclosure, amendment, suspension of usage or deletion of his/her Personal Information, BHN accepts the requests for disclosure, amendment, suspension of usage or deletion of his/her Personal Information when the individual authenticate his/her identity successfully.

Security Control Measures

BHN will take necessary and appropriate security control measures and will protect entrusted Personal Information from unauthorized access, leakage, modification, loss, destruction, etc.

Compliance

BHN will comply with the relevant Japanese laws and regulations applied to Personal Information obtained by BHN and will endeavor to improve this Privacy Policy in a timely manner.
